About this house rental
Cape Cottage is located in the historic district of downtown Lewes, DE. There is something for everyone in this town of ours. The cottage is about one mile from the beach, across the street from the popular Junction and Breakwater trail and the Lewes Library, about 2.5 miles from Cape Henlopen State Park, less than a mile to the center of town filled with shops and restaurants on 2nd Street, and SO much more!
Our coastal cottage (dog friendly with a fenced in yard) offers one king bedroom, one queen bedroom and one bedroom with a twin bunkbed with a trundle twin bed. Also, with two full bathrooms (one with a shower and one with a bathtub), there is plenty of room for up to 7 guests. There is a full kitchen with island seating and a welcoming coffee/tea bar which is perfect for your early (or late!) mornings. There is a bright and comfortable family room with a 65 inch smart TV but also plenty of book filled shelves for those who prefer getting lost in a new read during your stay.
There is a large fenced in front yard for lots of fun and games. We also welcome you to explore our “shebeen” shed. This detached shed has bar seating with another smart TV. The shed has a sunporch- the perfect spot for refreshments after a long day at the beach or bike trail.
As a family who enjoys traveling ourselves, we do offer several amenities should you request if you will be traveling with children: pack and plays, highchair, plates/utensils/bibs, beach toys etc. Our furniture is anchored to the walls and we also have outlet protectors available. Please let us know upon booking if you need any of these.

$40- all bed linens

Please let us know upon booking if you are interested in this package. If you are bringing your own bed sheets you will need 1 king set, 1 queen set and 3 twin bed sets depending on your needs***
-We provide beach chairs (6) and sun umbrellas (1)
-There are two private parking spots, and the cottage is located near a free public parking lot.
-Washer and dryer available on site
-A starter supply of soap, detergents, toilet paper and paper towels will be provided.

-Check in 4pm, Check out 10 AM.

Well-maintained, renovated property with thoughtful touches throughout (e.g. sound machine in children's bedroom, new water bottle placed on every nightstand, an organized binder with recommendations and clear instructions for check out.) Check in and check out were a breeze. Host responds very quickly to messages.

We absolutely loved this charming home! Our stay was fantastic, and Siobhan was a wonderful host. The house was spotless, beautifully decorated, and in an ideal location. The fenced yard was perfect for our dog, which we really appreciated. From the moment we arrived, we felt warmly welcomed with a basket of treats and a personalized note. The property was tastefully designed with thoughtful touches throughout. It was in the perfect spot for easy access to bike trails, downtown dining, and the beach. We truly enjoyed our Lewes vacation at the cottage!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cottage. Upon arrival, we were delighted to find a welcome basket of treats and a personalized note. The property was beautifully appointed with thoughtful details throughout. We found it to be an ideal location for our weekend celebration and highly recommend it.

Absolutely loved this home!!! We had a wonderful visit and Siobhan was a great host. Very clean, perfect location, lots of games and beach gear, and we loved the fenced in yard for our dog. We will be looking to book again! Thank you!!
