We enjoyed our stay and rated it 4/5. The location is perfect since the beach is right out back. You get beautiful views and the quietness of Folly Beach, which was exactly what we wanted. The home is very spacious with lots of rooms and areas to gather, making it great for groups.That said, the property is dated and needs some upkeep. We noticed rust inside and outside, worn furniture, dirty walls, and dated carpeting. The kitchen could be cleaner; several items weren’t, the sink water never got hot enough, and the fridge filter was so clogged barely any water came out, which is something housekeeping should notice. Two fans didn’t work (one in a bedroom, another with the dining room ceiling light), a patio door wouldn’t open, and the gate swings into the stairs, making it tough to manage while carrying things. The elevator also didn’t work, which made hauling items with an infant tiring (though we didn’t contact management).One other tip: property management requires their own travel insurance and does not accept VRBO’s. Their option is much cheaper, so go with the one they specify.Overall, we loved the location and spaciousness, but the property would really benefit from better maintenance and attention to detail.

The location was great. It really needs updated. It has HVAC downstairs but window air conditioners upstairs. We couldn't find where the elevator was. Tons of steps which made it hard for my elderly mother. Burn marks on shower curtains, couch had cut marks, chairs not good. Kitchen was good except air unit in window. The outside decks were great with a wonderful view of the beach. We were shocked no TVs in the bedrooms.
