Asoka Hotel at Asoke Makkasan

Reception (especially a young man) was very helpful and gave me a good impression. Transport service was also very convenient and smooth.

The noise from other room in midnight (midnight of 12-13/8) was extremely loud (I didn't understand why somebody did that kind of abnormal thing). I know that was not hotel's fault, but a bit uncomfortable.

Location is great, just a short walk from the Makkassen rail link station to the KL international airport. For a single night stay positioning for reliable arrival at the airport, it’s quite adequate.

For what I understand to be a fairly new new hotel, the common areas are already showing signs of wear and tear. Scuff marks and paint rubbed off door frames, cheap hallway carpeting that is already a bit grubby. Room is spartan but bearable for a night. They make you put up a 1000B cash deposit at check-in and there is an item-by-item listing of anything that some people may be tempted to remove from the room. Tells you what kind of clientele the hotel is prepared for.
