Winter Ridge

The location was an excellent location for amenities in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. The grandchildren did enjoy the air hockey table and movie room. All rooms had king-size beds and that was a plus.

The first and most important disappointment for our family was the lack of cleanliness. When we first walked up to the cabin, there were spiderwebs and dead bugs on the rug with rocking chairs. The master shower door had black mold all along the base leading into the shower. The refrigerator ice maker did not work. The carpet and floors were filthy. Our grandbabies (6,4,2,2) took their baths at night and then played all over the cabin until bedtime. When they went to crawl into bed ( 1st night) the bottom of their feet were nasty. We had to wash them again. Didn't allow kiddos to go barefoot rest of stay. The dryer was broken. Found that out after we washed all our towels and the dryer would not start. The service tech came out and was extremely professional and determined needed a replacement part and wouldn't be repaired due to having to order the part. Fireside offered us additional towels which was great. The only issue was we had to pick up at their office before 7:00 pm. We had to leave Gatlinburg earlier than planned to pick up towels. The last thing is regarding the availability of a pool. Felt the information was very misleading. We understood the pool to be close by. The pool was a 9-plus mile drive. We didn't consider that close or convenient.
