Pura Vida - Opposite the Beach!

Clean, new and well thought out amenities

In south west rocks, opposite the beach means a 500m walk to the beach

It was clean and quite new.

Accessibility was poor when bringing luggage in and out from the road where the car was parked.No coffee machine as listed. Unkempt surroundings in back yard. From previous suggestions on Booking.Com things were not addressed by the owners eg faulty coffee machine just taken away. Communication was difficult and not timely.

The place was clean

Don't expect to sit on the porch and admire the beach; instead there is an unkept lawn surrounded by sandstone blocks topped by a color bond fence. This place is really a smallish granny flat in the back yard of a house. It is separated from the house by a colourbond fence. Access is down a grassy passage between houses. There are two bedrooms each with double (not queen) beds. Built in cupboards are in one bed with nothing - not even hooks on the back of the door - in the other. Between the two is a bathroom with a good shower, vanity and loo. Only hand soap was provided. There are ceiling fans in both bedrooms but no air conditioning. There is no fly screen on the balcony door and flies and mozzies came in when we opened it for ventilation. There was no coffee machine despite one being advertised. Only minimal tea, instant coffee and milk were provided. The car has to be left on the street. The town centre is 2km away. Opposite is not a beach, but a house, a shed and depending on the time of day, trucks belonging to a landscape contractor. Behind is dense bush. The beach is at the end of a 300m long sandy track though the bush, the start of which is 100m away. Not my definition of opposite.
