Great location, lovely apartment, absolutely great value for the price. (We would have paid double at the hotel a few doors down.) LOADS of natural light from the skylights and windows, there's also a little patio area off the dining room that wasn't in the pictures. Very close to transit and underground city entrance. Having laundry in the unit was appreciated as I was able to do laundry before leaving instead of packing up a bunch of dirty clothes. CSR responded very promptly to questions or concerns.

I do wish the parking situation was clearer. Maybe I didn't read through everything thoroughly, but I was under the impression that parking was included (based on my search filters), and it was not. There are a few paid lots nearby, we opted to park at the hotel a few doors down. It cost a bit more, but it's underground, and we felt safer about it. The apartment is also listed as having AC, and it does have a unit in the living room, but the cool air does not reach the bedrooms well, so they get a bit stuffy.

Very convenient location. Walkable to just about everything, but especially convenient for the jazz festival. The space is tight, but very comfortable, especially the armchair. It's great there's a terrace, laundry, plenty of soap, shampoo, spices, oil and vinegar. FYI there are two tall stories of steep and narrow stairs and the staircase is open at the top so not safe for a toddler (not a problem for us). The free parking is just 1 spot right in front of the house but it is usually full, so don't count on it. There's parking nearby for CAD 20 per day until midnight so if you stay overnight means CAD 40.

No AC in the bedrooms - only in the living room so if you want to get cool at night you have to sleep with the door open (not great). If I had known this I wouldn't have rented this as ut was very hot and humid in July. Wi-Fi is shared, and at times it's terrible, so you cannot rely on it for work calls. No room darkening shades or curtains - there are white roller shades but they don't keep the room dark Not enough cups and glasses, but plenty of plates, bowls, utensils. Communication with the host(s) was bad - lack of response at times and conflicting information. First they send you a link to pay a deposit of CAD850 so we don't lose the rental. Very untypical. Then a few days prior to the trip I messaged several times with no response if ok to check in 1 hour early. No response. Then I called the morning of and the person said yes. We go there and cannot open the door because the instructions on Booking were missing the full door code. I called several times until finally someone answered and said we could not check in before 4. So we went to a cafe to wait another hour and there I received messages in Booking to call them, so I did and this time I got the nice person and he explained about the door code and that we could go in. So we did. Much later I received instructions with a link to proper instructions how to enter and where to park (after the fact, so while the instructions were good at that point they were useless to me).
