Byron Bay Beachfront Holiday Apartments

The position was amazing. Lovely sunny place in winter

For us with a pram, it was a bit difficult with the stairs, but a very small thing.

Great location and the apartment has everything you need. Except tongs. Make sure you bring your low car, high 4-wheel drives are unlikely to fit into the apartment parking. We had to just put our nose into the visitor card park for the trips (as the on street parking out the front is metered and timed).

The position to the Beach was exceptional. Just a walk across the grass no roads to cross. From the deck you can see the ocean and at night you sleep with the sound of waves crashing

The unit could do with an upgraded . The new TV was damaged .the garbage bin lid would not open . But that did not worry us,

Byron Bay Beachfront Apts was excellently placed, being on a park and beach, and within easy walking distance to the CBD of Byron Bay. It was visually well appointed on arrival and was clean BUT.....

For the price of the apartment for 4 nights, we were very disappointed in the overall maintenance of the outdoor area and most of the vital cooking appliances! My two adult daughters pointed out to me that (1) only the grill in the oven worked, (2) the microwave didn't work at all, (3) the fire alarm was just placed on the kitchen bench, plugged in but could easily be unplugged (legal??), there were signs on walls, esp,. the bathroom alerting us to the fact we should switch on the steam vent in the ceiling - what switch? - we hunted high and low - none! You mention staff, above: what staff? We saw no office, no staff onsite, until I noticed on the floor above our apt. a glass door so on investigating I gathered that was an office. On retruning to my apt I was asked by someone who said he was maintenance, if he could help. I gathered from him that one of the residents looks after the office occasionally. So....there was no-one I could see to help in any way with queries, no-one to receive us on arrival or departure (key in box), and no-one to make sure my payment went through without any hitches. Still no surety on this part of our stay! I gather these apts are individually owned but operated by Byron Bay Beachfront Apts. May I suggest that maintenance of #4 is looked into immediately or withdrawn from renting.
