Gracias Madre Jungle and Ocean View Cabins

Our stay here was amazing and truly a unique experience! The house looks exactly like the photos. We stayed in the 3-bedroom house, and one thing to keep in mind is that if you have heavy luggage, there are a few high stairs to reach the house. However, the experience is absolutely worth it. The location is around 10–15 minutes by taxi from Bocas Town (around $3 per person). The house is also very close to Skully’s, where there is a bus stop with a bus going either to Bluff Beach or Bocas Town. Katherine was an amazing host — extremely kind and always trying to make our stay easier and more enjoyable. She helped organize our airport pickup to the house, including a stop at a supermarket on the way, and also gave us recommendations for tours. The house had absolutely everything we could need: towels, bed sheets, shower gel, shampoo, potable drinking water, spices for cooking, games, books, and many other thoughtful details that made the stay very comfortable. One important thing to know is that you are truly sleeping in the jungle, and the house is very open to nature. You should be prepared for occasional visits from little lizards and bugs — lots of bugs 😅 The mosquito nets are absolute life savers, and it’s worth making sure they are fully closed properly at night so no insects get into the bed. Overall, sleeping surrounded by nature while still having all the comfort you need was such a special experience. We highly recommend it!

Super accueil et disponibilité de Katherine. La cabane est très mignonne ainsi que la terrasse où nous avons eu la belle surprise de voir une petite famille de singes de passage. Le lit est très grand 👍

Incredible hideout in the jungle, but comfortable enough to still feel like a “city person” 😄 it’s just lovely, fully equiped kitchen, big bathroom and comfy bed. We saw a monkey! Some restaurants in a walking distance, plenty by $3/person taxi in the city.

There is a hostel bar in the neighbourhood and sometimes you could hear people. Its a price for having a close proximity of civilization. The noise went down for the night.

Fácil acceso, todo limpio, casa bien equipada, flexibilidad y amabilidad de los anfitriones. En los árboles justo afuera de la cabaña habrán visitas de monos!
