Mulberry Cottage

We have stayed here before, but it was owned by someone else then. Nothing much changed in the cottage itself. It looks a bit outdated but with modern touches. Needs a bit of maintenance on the outside but nothing going on that limits its use. It was clean, spacious enough for the two of us and the bed is lovely. We arrived to be surprised with a lovely welcoming gift of (local?) juice, biscuits, crisps and fudge. :-) That was really nice; thank you for that. The owners had just recently added a table with two chairs in a secluded spot near the pond so we could enjoy a little bit of sitting there as well; that was nice as well.

What had changed since our first stay is the use of (a part of) the garden. Before we were allowed to use that as well. Now there is only the use of a fenced of area with a paved terrace and no grass area, which would have been nice if you bring a dog. In my opinion it would make the property much more attractive if the owners woud make the fenced of area somewhat larger.

Everything, we thoroughly enjoyed our weekend and would happily stay here again. The pictures don't do the cottage justice, it's bigger than expected.

The location was super - with views out to a huge garden and pond. The cottage was sweet, with very comfortable sofa and everything we needed. Canadian geese landed in the pond one morning which was super cool. And walks up to Bredon Hill were perfect. There is a little patio attached to the cottage which was safe and secure for the dogs.

No ones fault, but there was a cockerel somewhere very close by who started crowing at 1-2am and didn't stop both nights we stayed... We wouldn't have minded if he started crowing at dawn but 1am is a little too early! The bed was a little bit uncomfortable, but that's personal preference. And a full length mirror in the bedroom would have been useful as I was getting ready to attend a family event.
