GRAND PALAIS - Beautiful top floor studio - Sea front with AC

Location & view were great, we stayed in another studio in the Grand Palais last year so knew what to expect.

Struggled to get into the apartment as we were told we would be informed when the room would be ready as we had asked for an early check in & told they would try & get the room cleaned as quickly as possible to enable this. We got no message & were outside the appartment in High temperatures unable to get any reply on WhatsApp or by pressing the intercom as instructed. When we managed to get access we found the Fridge was unfit for purpose, very old/worn out & had a broken tray in the door which was only attached at one end & kept falling off when the door was opened. It also looked very stained & the Ice box looked like it had not been defrosted for a while & contained articles stuck to the bottom. I informed the host the same day we arrived (Saturday) & received a reply on Tuesday saying he had contacted the owner & been given authority to replace the fridge but this did not happen while we were there for 12 nights. The studio also said it was equipped with kitchenware for the stay but we had to go straight to the supermarket & buy basic items, Bread Knife/corkscrew for our wine/teaspoons etc. We went to open the balcony door & noticed a large crack in the glass, which we also passed on for information. The balcony floor was covered in artificial grass but there is a large rectangular piece the size of a house brick cut out of the material just as you go out on to the balcony that you trip over every time you go out. Don't know why it is cut out as there is nothing under it apart from the original flooring. We put the sofa bed up & all the cushioned edge is badly torn/ripped & looksa mess. We took pictures of all these faults as a record or proof if needed.
