The location of the house was great. 15 mins to the beach and 1.5 hours to Destin. The area was also great! The upstairs was a little uncomfortable, due to the way the ceiling is shaped and getting in/out of bed, and it also took a while to cool the room down. Have to keep the fans on 24/7 to beat the heat. The pull out bed mattress could use an update, but my kids slept fine. All in all, it met the needs we were after.

We were so happy to get to stay! But when we ended up getting ready for bed it didn’t go too well. The fold out couch mattress was dirty!!! I ended up putting the couch back together! I ended up having the sleep in the bed with my mom. My daughter had to lay on the floor with blankets we had brought in from my car! The next morning we had to go and spend money on a blow up mattress just so my daughter could sleep comfortably. She is 8 so she ended up getting up at 2am and couldn’t go back to sleep. They had cups and everything but we chose to get paper and plastic. We also had to buy more toilet paper because when we got in it only had a roll and a half. Place was beautiful but we were not comfortable besides if you were in the bed! You could also tell that the people the clean the house did not clean under the couch cushions. I found food and tags from clothing under them when I went to pull the bed out.

Overall, this was a convenient spot for anyone looking for a place to rest after spending the day at the beach or exploring the area. The location worked well for our needs, and the price was very reasonable. That said, we did notice quite a few spiders and spiderwebs throughout the unit upon arrival, which required some cleaning on our part. It might be helpful for the hosts to perform a more thorough cleaning between guests to address this issue. The upstairs bedroom gets quite warm during the day, although it cools off nicely at night. Adding a few more fans could significantly improve air circulation during the hotter months. All in all, it’s a decent budget-friendly option. While we appreciated the stay, we’re not sure we’d return unless a few of these issues were addressed.
