When you walk into this house, you enter into a delightful, colorful, art-filled home that is unlike anything else you will find in Tacoma. Ideally situated just 2 short blocks from the bustling 6th Ave restaurants, bars & coffee shops, this home is truly a sanctuary. Every corner, inside & out has something special to discover. You and your group will find comfort, relaxation and joy in this peaceful home. And in the summertime, the colorful, joyful backyard is truly magical! An rental gem.
The space
The house is situated on a narrow, safe street (cars can't drive by fast) with wonderful neighbors and a cool vibe. Each of our three bedrooms has a queen bed and is uniquely decorated and set up for your ultimate comfort. The living and dining areas are perfectly set up for your group to really enjoy being together. The kitchen is fully equipped and stocked with most anything you might need. We are so excited for you to discover our little peace of heaven in Tacoma! And the backyard is truly an “urban sanctuary”!

The entire house is yours - no other guests on the property. And in the summertime, the backyard and garden areas provide a private retreat that you will love! The garden provides shade on hot days but also has sun for those who want that too.

We encourage you to take the time to discover some of the little details about the house and decorations, from the Mexican tiles in the upstairs bathroom to the one-of-kind art spread throughout the house to all the hidden gems in the garden. Especially take the time to read the newspaper clipping (taped to the window of the garage) all about Jim, the owner of the home who created or collected almost everything you see throughout the property!

Unique and fun property. The backyard is fenced but very wild and there are holes and gaps in the fence. If you are taking animals, they have to be supervised closely. Mine had to stay on leash. I would say the same about younger children. That said, It is still a great home and we enjoyed the quirkiness. We had everything we needed and there is a great washer & Dryer which is always a nice amenity. The hosts are great communicators and left a thoughtful note and snacks. I would definitely stay there again.

Beautiful and interesting house with some quirks, host was very responsive and helpful even in the late evening. Very convenient and central location, would definitely stay again.

We recently stayed at this unique and colorful property, which offered great privacy and a welcoming atmosphere. However, we experienced a significant ant problem throughout our stay, with ants found in the bedrooms (including on the bed), kitchen (even inside the salt shaker), and the upstairs bathroom, where it was the worse. They got on our toothbrushes and personal items. The ants also ended up on our crawling baby, which made the situation even more uncomfortable. While the property manager was responsive and had pest control come the next day, the issue persisted, making our stay less enjoyable. If the ant problem were better addressed, we would consider staying again.
