When you walk into this house, you enter into a delightful, colorful, art-filled home that is unlike anything else you will find in Tacoma. Ideally situated just 2 short blocks from the bustling 6th Ave restaurants, bars & coffee shops, this home is truly a sanctuary. Every corner, inside & out has something special to discover. You and your group will find comfort, relaxation and joy in this peaceful home. And in the summertime, the colorful, joyful backyard is truly magical! An rental gem.
The house is situated on a narrow, safe street (cars can't drive by fast) with wonderful neighbors and a cool vibe. Each of our three bedrooms has a queen bed and is uniquely decorated and set up for your ultimate comfort. The living and dining areas are perfectly set up for your group to really enjoy being together. The kitchen is fully equipped and stocked with most anything you might need. We are so excited for you to discover our little peace of heaven in Tacoma! And the backyard is truly an “urban sanctuary”!
The entire house is yours - no other guests on the property. And in the summertime, the backyard and garden areas provide a private retreat that you will love! The garden provides shade on hot days but also has sun for those who want that too.
We encourage you to take the time to discover some of the little details about the house and decorations, from the Mexican tiles in the upstairs bathroom to the one-of-kind art spread throughout the house to all the hidden gems in the garden. Especially take the time to read the newspaper clipping (taped to the window of the garage) all about Jim, the owner of the home who created or collected almost everything you see throughout the property!

This was a rare chance to stay in an historic home in Tacoma with fun tile, old woodwork, and fascinating decor. The 3 very nice bedrooms allowed our little family get together to work out very comfortably. Hope we get to return.

House was very roomy and bedrooms comfortable. Good location as close to shops and restaurants on 6th avenue. I had some difficulty with VRBO as the price quoted per night on the site did not match the actual price I was charged. Lighting in the house could be improved as it is very dark throughout the house except in the kitchen. Kitchen is roomy and easy to use, except the gas stove burners are difficult to light and only 2 of the 4 burners work. There was a problem with ants in the house, in every room, not overly bothersome to me, but could be a problem for some people. Very pet friendly and our dog enjoyed the stay.
