Bayview Beach Resort East Lombok

We booked a late notice stay here as we needed to be near to Kayangan port. It’s a 20 minute drive and the hotel arranged a Tansfer for 200k. The location is nice but slightly strange in that it’s tucked away on the north east of the island meaning it is a little isolated. If you stayed here for more than a day or two you would probably need a scooter or a driver as I’m not sure there is much within walking distance. The resort itself is good and the staff are very helpful and friendly. Two very nice swimming pools and beach access - though it was a little choppy during our stay. You can rent fishing rods and go on snorkelling/boat tours the hotel arrange. Darts, ping pong and a pool table are also available for guest use.

There are little cabins next to the pool and some huge rooms in one block that I imagine are very nice. We were however in one of the four rooms in the block above the kitchen and staff area. Whilst the smell from the kitchen was rather nice the soundproofing is nonexistent. The walls are literally made of plaster board and you can hear everything, a real issue if you have inconsiderate neighbours as we did. Unfortunately we had to endure a screaming child in the next room throughout the night then the call to prayer at 04.45 so we hardly had any sleep at all. The food in the restaurant is ok but nothing special.

La piscine est sympa avec vue mer. Chambre propre.

Le rapport qualité prix est pas terrible. En comparaison avec d’autres hôtels, pour le même prix, l’expérience n’est pas à l’attendue. L’hôtel est vieillissant et à mon goût pas assez entretenu. Des travaux doivent être réalisés. D’un point de vue global c’est beau mais quand on regarde les finitions surtout sur les extérieurs, ça laisse à désirer. Hôtel manque de chaleur et de convivialité. Le bar de la piscine est fermé mais on peut commander si on veut. Ça donne pas du tout envie.
