This is one of the most unique experiences we had. The cabin is beautifully designed, a real work of art, and everything is so tastefully arranged and well thought of. The kitchen has everything you need and more. We slept so well there.
There is no sign from the main road to the property, so it's really easy to miss the turn even when you navigate with google maps, especially in the dark!
The property managers could improve the communication, as responses took some time...

Such a beautiful place to be in. Been seeing it on social feed and when I stepped in for the 1st time, it feel everything is the same as what u seen on social media and it’s even better 💜💜💜
It’s such a calming feeling to take thing slow and enjoy everything this accomodation has to offer.
Nothing at all. Maybe just us staying for only 1 night.

This was our favourite stay on our 6 week trip to Japan. It is well worth the cost and a really special spot! We loved everything about Sanu - the beautiful design and thoughtful touches, as well as waking up to a herd of deer grazing outside! It’s an amazing location too - best if you have a car to explore. The lake has great views of Mt. Fuji and is quieter than more touristy spots.
It would be great if the lodges came with bikes to use whilst there but this wasn’t an issue since there are lots of places to hire bikes nearby to go around the lake.
