Springdale Villa

We had a wonderful stay at Springdale Villa in Kodaikanal. The property has a beautiful old British heritage charm and a very peaceful atmosphere, perfect for relaxing with family. The rooms and bathrooms were clean, spacious, and well maintained, and the entire villa felt very private and homely. Mr. Peter and the staff were extremely friendly, responsive, and helpful throughout our stay. The homemade food was fresh and tasty, and the pricing was very reasonable as assured. We also really appreciated the smooth pickup, sightseeing, and local village tour arrangements made for us. One of the most memorable parts of the stay was the natural atmosphere around the villa. We spotted butterflies, chittukuruvi birds, squirrels, monkeys, and even a bison nearby after accidentally leaving the gate open for some time 😄 It truly felt close to nature and added a unique charm to the experience. The location is excellent, close to the lake and tourist spots, yet calm and away from the crowd. Overall, it was a very comfortable and memorable experience, and we truly wished we had booked for more than one night 😊🌿

Nothing much to complain about actually 😊 We only wished the checkout time was at least 11 AM. We had to check out by 10 AM since the next guests were checking in at 11 AM, just the way we checked in 😄 Can’t really blame anyone except our own laziness and wish to stay longer at the villa 😂🌿

We really enjoyed our stay at Springdale Villa. The villa has a beautiful old British-style heritage feel and the atmosphere was very peaceful and relaxing. The rooms were clean, spacious, and well maintained, and the entire property felt very homely and safe. One of the best parts of the stay was the hospitality. Chef and the staff were extremely friendly, responsive, and always ready to help with anything we needed. The homemade food was fresh and very tasty, especially the breakfast and BBQ arrangements. The food prices were also very reasonable and fair as assured while ordering, even during the gas shortage situation in the hills, which we truly appreciated. They also arranged local sightseeing and village tours exactly as promised in a brand new comfortable car, which made travelling around Kodaikanal very smooth and enjoyable. They even arranged pickup from Dindigul Junction and drop back as well, which was very convenient and helpful for our trip. The location was perfect and very close to the lake and main tourist places, yet quiet enough to enjoy nature and relax properly. Overall, it was a memorable and comfortable experience, and we would definitely love to visit again.

The only disappointing part was booking the villa for just one night 😄 We genuinely wanted to extend our stay, but the villa was already booked for the next day. The place was so private, calm, and peaceful that it felt perfect for a relaxing family getaway away from all the city noise. Next time, we’re definitely booking for more days

Stayed at a beautiful property with a charming old British-style stone building that gave the place a unique character. The location was lovely, with a well-maintained garden full of flowers and warm ambient lighting that made the evenings feel extra cozy. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the food was genuinely good. Good place to spend quality time with family.

There were a few drawbacks. There was no heater inside the house, and the fireplace wasn’t working, which made it very cold due to the stone walls. The hot water system was inconvenient — after one person used the geyser, the next had to wait nearly an hour for the water to heat again. Also, the pathway for the car was not in great condition; the wheels kept spinning when trying to accelerate, making it difficult to enter.

I liked the warm support from Helen, the sincere help from Shembaagam, the clean villa, the tasty BBQ and the lovely bonfire.

No major issues, only wished for slightly faster WiFi
