Chithari River House

I had a wonderful stay at Chithari River Stay. The property is beautifully located right in front of the Chithari River, with Bekal Fort just 3 km away. The well-connected roads and the beautiful route lined with coconut trees on both sides make the journey to the property special. The homestay is in a very serene and peaceful riverside location, perfect for relaxing and enjoying nature. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and well maintained, and the views from the property are simply amazing. This is a budget-friendly homestay, so don't expect the luxury or facilities of a resort, but for a peaceful and comfortable stay, it is excellent. The owner, Rash, is a very kind and helpful host and has maintained the property really well. The area feels safe and quiet, and the river is perfect for peaceful walks, fishing, boating, and enjoying nature. Bekal Fort is very close by and definitely worth visiting. There are also small restaurants and local food options nearby, with Swiggy/Zomato delivery available. The host is also happy to guide you to good places to eat. Overall, it was a wonderful and relaxing experience. The peaceful riverside setting, beautiful coconut-tree-lined road, amazing views, and warm hospitality make Chithari River Stay a great choice for anyone visiting Bekal. Highly recommended! 🌴🌊

Watching the sky reflect on the water under a canopy of towering coconut trees and areca palm is an experience that stays with me. The atmosphere here is wonderfully calm and deeply rejuvenating. Surrounded by vibrant green meadows and traditional architecture, the property feels like a hidden oasis—an idyllic escape to unwind, read a book, capture stunning landscape photographs, or simply breathe in the fresh, crisp air. Ratheesh's hospitality truly elevates the experience. His genuine warmth, helpful local insights, and attentive care ensure a stay that is comfortable, seamless, and unforgettable. It’s a great place to get off the tourist path and take time to relax and unwind. I spent 6 days here and didn’t want to leave. It is very peaceful amongst coconut trees and close to a beautiful river. Restaurant is a nice walk along a shady, tree lined road and will deliver food if you want. There is a small grocery store close by for essentials. Rash is a very nice chap and full of good advice.
