C5 3rd floor balcony view 1bdr flat 850m Metro Evangelismos 150m EKPA University Campus 100m Bus Stop to Acropolis

We (retired couple in 60’s) liked everything about this bright, happy and very clean apartment that was in good location. Area is more local Greek than touristy yet close to tourist attractions. Close enough to Evangelismos Metro station (to and from airport) up Efroniou St and easy walks to various restaurants, small local squares in Pagrati. Interesting walks to Kalimarmaro stadium, Zappion and Syntagma. A fave walk was via the lovely big park to Plaka, Acropolis, Monasteraki etc. We also walked to great exhibition at Hellenic Museum of Contemporary Art then got metro 1 station to Plaka for dinner and a rooftop film at Cine Paris (always fun). Apartment had all we needed with comfy bed, big proper shower (not clingy curtain and hand held nozzle) and even TVs in both living area and bedroom. 2 balconies (with interesting views on the larger front one) that allowed fresh breeze through the apartment. We travel via Athens every year and would certainly stay again and although we did not meet host they were responsive, gave easy to understand instructions with upbeat kindness. Loved the spacious, minimalist vibe that made apartment feel bigger than it was and just colourful fun touches without too many ornaments etc. Having stayed in many Athens very affordable lodgings this was definitely in top 2. Thanks to our hosts :)

Not a problem but should mention: Because we live in quiet rural Australia and a small quiet island in Greece some guests may find inner Athens to be rather noisy at times like any big city - easily solved with soft earplugs which we always carry.
