Louis Homestay

It is a simple neat and clean room with access to a common terrace. The property is 100 metres from the beach. Louis himself makes the property special by trying to accommodate any need we might have. My friend and I had a late night train and Louis offered to provide his pick up service at 4 am which was a huge relief for the 2 of us as women traveling at odd hours. The next day he offered to get us some food incase we wanted to rest indoors. He also helped us get a Scooty on rent by providing an agents contact and when he couldn’t personally drop us for our bus he arranged an auto promptly for us! Additionally, our main agenda for the Murudeshwar trip was Scuba diving which because of weather got delayed, affecting our availability for check out. Louis was not only able to accommodate our late check out but since the room was free the next day he let us rest a little extra after a tiring scuba session. We felt very taken care of.

The property is doing its best as a young Homestay business interns of facilities and sanitation. I would suggest Louis to invest in mattress protectors once he can so that he can take off the plastic from his new mattresses in the room. While the beds were comfortable it was not a great feeling to sleep on plastic covers. Additionally, Louis can convert his services like the pick up from station in a more official manner so that one knows of it when booking the property instead of when talking to him in person.

The homestay is newly built, so not at all shabby or faded. There are just three guest rooms, so it was also quiet. The bedroom is large, the bed very comfortable, and there are plenty of sockets. It was so nice to open the windows and have well fitted mosquito screens in place. The bathroom is really nice, especially as it's so new; it was very clean, and there is hot water. I was pleased that there is a balcony, and a chair to sit there. Also I could hang my washing to dry on the railings. The owners are very kind, thoughtful, generous, and friendly. They made my stay extra special, being concerned that I had everything I wanted.

The only thing to dislike is that the homestay is over 2km from the town, and much of the walk there is along an unsealed potholed track. However, several times Louis very kindly gave me a lift on his scooter. There isn't anywhere nearer to have something to eat.
