Hilltop Ranch Style Home with Gorgeous View for Big Groups, Retreats, Events OK

We had an absolutely incredible stay and cannot recommend this property enough truly a 5/5 experience from start to finish.From the moment we arrived, it was clear how much care and attention goes into maintaining this home. The house was spotless, beautifully kept, and even more impressive in person than in the listing. Every detail felt thoughtfully considered, making it both comfortable and inviting. It really felt like a home away from home.What stood out just as much as the property itself was the host. They were extremely responsive, kind, and accommodating throughout our entire stay. Communication was smooth and quick, which made everything so easy and stress free.Our situation could have been a nightmare another host canceled on us last minute but thankfully, this host stepped in and was able to accommodate us right away. That level of flexibility and willingness to help truly made all the difference for our trip, and we are so grateful.Overall, this was one of the best experiences we’ve had, and we would not hesitate to stay here again. If you’re in the area, do yourself a favor and book this place you won’t regret it!

Huge house, lots of activities, very private. Great place to get everyone together for a house hang out!

This was a good place to stay for our group. There was plenty of room and had all the amenities from a fully stocked kitchen to bathroom essentials. We particularly enjoyed the spacious kitchen, living room and theater room. The kids enjoyed the pool table and hockey table downstairs. The owner was very responsive with any questions we had. We did have an issue with the internet but she attempted to resolve the problem immediately. Overall, this place is definitely a good place for a large group. Seems like they were still under construction and lots of equipment and stuff around the perimeter of the house and probably not the safest for little kids but we looked past that since the accommodations were good and it also had a nice big concrete pad in front that we could gather in.

Overall a good location and a good space, very affordable, but needs a lot of maintenance.Pros:* Good location. Quiet, close enough to Calhan to make grocery runs. Short drive to the fairgrounds and Paint Mines park.* Spacious interior, open floor plan with a kitchen big enough for a large group* Furniture, decor, and appliances all seemed relatively new and in good condition* Bedding/towels seemed clean overall, with plenty provided for the group* Both indoor and outdoor kid’s toys were available and nice to have* Wifi and electrical worked without issue. TVs worked fine, we were able to stream movies* Grill and patio furniture available on enclosed deck, as well as outdoor string lighting* Plenty of parking in gravel drivewayDespite us and our guests having been uncomfortable about the cons listed below, we exercised extreme caution watching our children and in storing our belongings and concluded it to have been a good stay overall.Cons:* Mice: Upon arrival, we found mouse droppings in multiple rooms, and on top of some upholstered furniture. We immediately mentioned this to the host, who responded promptly to our message but only replied that there was a vacuum availableMost bedrooms had some sort of pest deterrent device plugged into the wall, but in one basement bedroom it appeared to be broken, and a mouse was seen in the room on the first night.
