Villa Golden Palm Bali Canggu- HUGE luxe 2-storey villa

Large roomy accomodation to suit our big group. Beds were comfortable and Ketut and Marie were very accomodating. Pool was big and clean.

Location wise was probably a hit too far out for our family but with grabs close by wasn’t too much of an issue

The place is more spacious than we expected- the pictures didn’t really do it justice and we were so happy with it. Host Ketut bent over backwards to ensure our stay was perfect and every need met, often organising chauffeurs, massages and spa treatments at our accommodation, lavish breakfasts, laundry, and other tasks, on very short notice. Lovely Maria who is the housekeeper was there every day to clean and help with errands and felt like family by the end of the stay; and chefs Krishna and Indra came up with new lavish breakfasts for us every day. The villa is a compound style with high walls and feels safe and private. Per Ketut’s advice, we used the Grab app to arrange taxis and deliveries (you can even get daiquiris delivered to the door!). We loved the pool and swam every day. The beds are very comfy and the villa is nicely furnished.

The location was a bit unexciting, though to be fair you hardly need to leave the villa to have a magical holiday with friends or family. We also had some trouble with the bath (the plugs aren’t very effective) and I’m not personally a fan of rain showers. We also had some hassles with the security deposit.

The staff were amazing , any problem they would come in that day to fix , super responsive and friendly, the villa itself was perfect for a young group holiday , cheap and has lots of space and communal areas

I believe a bigger bin or a bin outside would be beneficial as rubbish would pile up quick and in turn bugs would get into it but it was avoidable if rubbish was placed outside

The property is very spacious

Issues with toilet. Had to flush 5 to 8 times. No hot shower however we left when the team was actively trying to fix the issue. Was requested to put a $500 aud deposit. It is written in the fine print but feel this should be clearly stated in the main description so l can make a choice before l book.
