Moorhaven is a beautiful space, beautifully clean and spacious and located in a barn conversion in the hamlet of Wonson, across the drive from the wonderful Northmore Arms pub. The property is beautifully appointed with everything you could want, all of a high standard and really tasteful: it's got a beautiful living room and a comfortable dining room with a large dining table where we played games in the evenings (when we weren't in the pub, which is really welcoming, does good food and lots of it, and, despite being a tiny traditional old pub with a walk-in fireplace and log fire in the main bar, had live music one of the nights we were there). In the days we went on some lovely walks from the front door: there are pretty footpaths very close, and the open moor is a short walk up a very pretty quiet lane alongside a stream. It's a wonderful place to stay for a real Dartmoor holiday.

Absolutely perfect holiday cottage in a stunning and peaceful location. The facilities are excellent- beautiful ensuite bedrooms with a full sized kitchen and lots of living space. Everything extremely well fitted out, with lots of cooking ware, games, puzzles and dvds. Even the wifi was strong enough to work remotely and they have streaming tv.
The hosts were lovely and very helpful when we needed them.
I couldn’t fault it. People who stay should be aware that it’s a bit of a drive to shops and services (at least ten minutes drive) but for us that was part of the charm!
