Villa Torre Dell'Alto Mare, located in the countryside of Alliste, 12 km south of Gallipoli and about 200 meters above sea level, is part of the chain of watchtowers that the ancient ruler had reinforced along the Salento coast to protect the hinterland and its riches from the Saracen threat. Today the Tower is a pearl of this part of Salento, far from the chaos and mass tourism, together with the church of the Madonna Dell'Alto Mare and the church of the Madonna del Casale, linked by an ancient legend: it is said that a sailor , during a terrible storm, he had entrusted himself to the Madonna and, having saved himself, he had the churches built on the top of the coast, from where they protect the coast and the villages lying between the greenhouses with their eyes. Immersed in the Salento nature, among olive trees and prickly pears, in an area that leaves the Mediterranean scrub untouched, the Torre Dell'Alto Mare wakes up with a bright dawn that embraces the entire coast from Gallipoli to Leuca and thrills with magnificent sunsets over the sea. Guests have access to some shared services in the structure such as washing machine, jogging area with tools, relaxation area, veranda.
The property is about 2 km from the sea with low cliffs and 4 km from the sandy beaches of Torre San Giovanni.
