We stayed at the Tin Rambler in June of 2025. The location is nice in relation to Gatlinburg (25 minute drive) and the area is quiet. We had some issues with the property and the property management was easy to get in touch with and were able to refund us some money. The movie room was nice to watch movies on, and most of the appliances seemed new. The exterior shed has 2 queen sized beds, air conditioning and an tv with a N64 counsel which was a nice touch. Overall, it’s a decent space that has some issues that need to be corrected to be better for future guests. The issues we encountered were:-The listing states that the in-law suite is cooled with a AC unit, which is true (split wall unit). The issue is that the space is too large to be efficiently cooled and the ceiling fans didn’t work to provide more air circulation. The space really never got below 85 degrees making it uncomfortable for whoever decided to stay in that portion. -We had a nonfunctional stove for 3 days of our 4 day stay. The stove was reported on Thursday night and we didn’t receive a working replacement stove until Saturday evening. We anticipated making multiple meals and were mostly unable to do so and resorted to mostly cooking on the outdoor grill. -In the kitchen, we experienced an ant infestation coming from behind an exterior wall. -The fence had multiple large holes near the bottom which allowed our small 7lb dog to escape from.
