Maynard's Retreat | Hocking Hills, Modern, Hot Tub

The location was serene, quiet, beautiful, and private. We loved having private spaces for each of us to retreat to and could come together in the living and dining area. The place was clean and immediately felt like home. It felt warm and welcoming as soon as we walked through the door.

This is a great little place to stay. We used the firepit almost every evening. I give the cleanliness a 3 only because we were not able to use the hot tub. There was a yellow film around the edges. We did contact the rental company and they sent out a maintenance man because we also had no power in the bathroom outlet downstairs. Other than those two issues we had a great stay!

Property was perfection and everything we asked for! My only comment is that the bedroom located in the basement/underground area is extremely cold and has a hard time matching the temperature of the main floor. It was about a 15 degree difference and did make it difficult for our children to sleep. Everything was great!

The cleanliness of our cabin was very good. Our 4 digits to unlock the door did not work, we were able to get immediate assistance when we called and had the lock reset. However, the door never locked / unlocked again using either code. My main issue was there was no where to hang up or put coats/ clothes anywhere. Our coats where hanging on the barstools. My suitcase was on the floor, so I lived out of the suitcase for 4 days would have appreciated some hooks for coats\ clothes. It was winter time the driveway was a mudpuddle with only a welcome mat at the door to wipe boots on. Jets in the hot tub only worked on half the hot tub. But the water was hot!!It was a beautiful scene looking out the windows. We had a relaxing time.
