The Barn is the newest property at Summit Haven, which sits on 65 wooded hilltop acres in the heart of Hocking Hills and features 3 traditional log cabins and this stunning barndominium. All properties are spaced far enough apart to allow for privacy. Summit Haven is close to all the area hiking trails. It's just 10 miles to Old Man's Cave, 8 miles to Conkle's Hollow, 6 miles to Rock House, and 5 miles to Cantwell Cliffs.

Our property will be your own slice Hocking Hills for your stay. In addition to your private outdoor area, you'll have access to our on property hiking trails and natural play area.

The Barn is situated at the very end of our private lane, and offers all the seclusion you’d hope to find in Hocking Hills. The Barn is surrounded by woods, and a second story deck looks out over a peaceful and serene pond. On the ground level, a large patio with a hot tub and seating area also overlook the pond.

Upstairs:

It's an easy and scenic drive to Summit Haven. While it is tucked away on a wooded hilltop, it is less than 10 minutes off of Route 33. On the way there be sure to take in the beauty of Wildcat Hollow Road, one of the most scenic drives in the region.

Winter Notes:
-During the winter months the cabin may be difficult to access due to weather on Summit Lane. It will be plowed and maintained after each winter storm, but during those months an all-wheel drive or 4-wheel drive vehicle is recommended.

There is a pole barn located behind The Barn that is used for maintenance and storage. It is for staff only, and will be accessed minimally during your stay, only in order to perform routine maintenance on the property.

The hot tub is drained and refilled regularly to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all of our guests. During the winter months especially, it can take some time for the water to heat up if the hot tub has been refilled, or if the temperature has been turned down significantly.

Prior to your stay, we require you to complete a pre-arrival form and sign & agree to our rental conditions.

We all had an absolutely brilliant time from the minute we got there until we left. It's going to be our annual family holiday spot. Max couldn't have been a better host !! Helpful, outstanding and timely communication ! Honestly, I wasn't even unpacked when we got home and we were planning for next year. It was absolutely perfect. . . A 10/10 !!

Nice and clean. Beds were really comfy. Dogs had a great time, especially when they got to bark at some pigs that visited.

Beautiful setting in a quiet, remote hollow surrounded by nature. We were looking for a spot away from the everyday noisy norm. The Barn is absolutely perfect. It is so quiet there you could hear the acorns dropping out of the trees. Every day we were treated with nature’s blessings of squirrels, birds, wild turkey and deer who came to drink from the pond. Minutes away from the conveniences of Logan and all the Hocking Hills attractions. The Barn has a perfect layout with all bedrooms in the lower level and the kitchen, dining area and living room upstairs. The fenced in yard, for those traveling with their best friends, is directly outside the entry way & is a reasonable size for any dog. (Very small pups might be able to squeeze under the bottom where the fence doesn’t meet the ground.). The property is well maintained and the Barn itself was very clean, well stocked with essentials and with great attention to detail right down to having dark hand towels specific for your use when washing the makeup from your face! Great kitchen appliances and a large gas grill. Beds are super comfy. They even have a private walking path on the property for your use and for folks renting one of the other cabins that they offer. We will definitely be returning for another stay and highly recommend The Barn for a very remote, quiet & nature filled getaway.

The 5 of us our dog had a great, very last minute trip to The Barn. We booked it the night before we came and have zero regrets. It was a perfect spot for us and our city dog is going to be so sad back home. Thank you for sharing your gorgeous property!

We should have stayed longer! I truly underestimated all there would be to do - from the on-property hiking trail, feeding the fish at the pond, enjoying the hot tub and soaking up all the family-time in the MOST comfortable couches of all time... I'm ready to book our next stay AND bring another family along (there's that much room!). We were so comfortable, had everything we needed (and more) and enjoyed the serene nature and time spent together. Thank you!
