About this house rental
Welcome to High Rock Haven on High Rock Lake in Lexington, NC. This modern cottage has luxurious details to make you feel completely relaxed during your stay. **Please be sure to read about our driveway in this description - we want your stay to be as stress-free and relaxing as possible!**
High Rock Haven features two bedrooms situated on the main (uppler) level of the home along with a full size washer and dryer. The lower level looking out at the water hosts the fully stocked kitchen with walk-in pantry, dining room, living room, and heated patio and outdoor shower at the driveway.
The main bedroom boasts vaulted ceilings, a king sized bed with high end mattress paired with bathroom featuring a spa tub with customizable jets and temperature control as well as a separate shower stocked with body wash, shampoo, and conditioner. The oversized walk-in closet features a bunk bed with double beds for kids or additional guests. This bedroom also features a smart TV as well as a private balcony overlooking the water to enjoy your morning coffee or evening cocktails.
The second bedroom features a king sized bed with high end mattress, a smart TV, USB ports on the bedside table, and full closet. There is a full bathroom with standup shower across the hall stocked with body wash, shampoo, and conditioner.
Downstairs you will find the kitchen fully stocked for dining in with stainless steel appliances and a walk-in pantry with a microwave. The dining room table seats four with 3 additional stools at the bar.
The comfy sectional sofa looks out the sliding doors to the water and the living room has a smart TV on the wall above the fireplace. The downstairs area also features a half bathroom so that you don't have to go upstairs.
The outdoor patio area is ready for entertaining featuring a sectional sofa and wall mounted smart TV. There is an outdoor shower that is available from April - October. The water will be turned off October-March to avoid freezing. In the cooler months, enjoy using the patio with the overhead heater to keep you warm! The patio looks out towards the yard where you can play cornhole or sit overlooking the water.
Although the boat lift is not for guest use, the dock has two spots if you would like to bring a boat. **See section below for closest public boat ramp and boat rentals**
The water at the end of the dock is roughly 10-12 ft. If jumping in please jump at your own risk. December through January High Rock Lake drops the water level by about 8' to allow everyone to work on the docks. During these times it could be difficult for larger boats to access this area. There are two kayaks available for use, one single seater, and one double seater.
All stays are provided with linens, this includes comforters, sheets, blankets, bath towels, wash cloths, bath mats, and dish towels. We will stock you with a roll of toilet paper in each bathroom and one roll of paper towels in the kitchen. The bathrooms are stocked with body wash, hand soap, shampoo, and conditioner and the kitchen will have dish soap and dishwasher detergent.
This is a smoke and pet free home. No parties or large gatherings.

The driveway is quite steep and could be difficult with guests having mobility issues. The upper part of the driveway has parking for 3 cars. We provide a wagon to help guests bring in their luggage, groceries, etc. Please use caution when walking down and we encourage you not to run. You may also pull down the driveway to access the door at the lower level / kitchen / living room area. Please note there is no way to turn around once you pull down the driveway.
We are Lexington residents so are happy to help you during your stay in any way!

The house was very clean and updated. The beds were very comfortable and the view was great. Quiet neighborhood. The only negative was the very steep driveway which requires parking in an area next to the road.

The house is as described and we had a great time during our stay. We took the kayaks out and relaxed under the covered porch (thank goodness for the outside fan!). The tandem kayak was heavy to move around, but we managed. The only bummer was the propane tank connected to the grill was empty and we didn't want to go get one for one night of grilling. A great relaxing time was had by all and if we find ourselves back in Lexington, we'll be sure to see if this house is available!
