Cozy Spa Sanctuary - Steps to Restaurants and Shopping

Location is very central and convenient wether you want to go downtown or more towards Troutdale. On street parking only, but it's free and plentiful in the area. Amazing kitchen is perfect IF you want to cook your own meals in Portland. Filled with appliances and seasonings and oils. Bathroom is one big relaxing wet room. Shower and bath are great to unwind at the end of the day in. Bed and pillows are very comfortable right in-between soft and hard. Fold out sofa bed is a nice option if you need it. Entire facility is very clean. I liked the decor though this is obviously subjective. Check in and out was very easy and straightforward and the hosts reached out via booking chat to ask if we needed anything without being overbearing.

Note: most of these have to do with noise. I will be the first to admit I am particularly sensitive to noise so take this with a grain of salt if typical apartment sounds don't really bother you. I will also say individually none of these items were a problem on their own, but I think it might be useful information for future stay-ees to make a more informed decision. It is not apparent on booking.com that this is someone's basement and that not only is the top floor occupied by the owners, it is also where their business is located. I don't blame the owners for this, booking just doesn't make a distinction when it says "entire place." Owners have some sort of pet(s) that run around upstairs. Voices/laughter carry very easily. Road isn't super busy but busy enough that you'll hear cars driving by. (All to say it's a bit loud in the unit.) There's what I assume to be a door somewhat disguised as a shelving unit that sounds like it leads to the owner's laundry room elsewhere in the basement. (This is even louder.) Minimal airflow. Apartment doesn't have any visible fans, though there is A/C and radiant heating floors. Worth mentioning no problem with temperature but some ceiling fans might have been good to add some white noise to distract from the other noises. A small personal fan was available for use. TVs didn't really work (apps kept randomly quitting and resetting to the home menu.) Not really an issue since I wasnt in Portland to watch TV.

I loved the location! Perfectly situated to explore SE Portland! The place is loaded with everything you need to cook--fancy olive oils, seasonings, pots/pans, etc., The bathroom has an amazing clawfoot tub that is luxurious! There is plenty of space to hang out and just relax! Will definitely be back!

Details were beautifully thought out and executed. Although we ate out, the kitchen is fully stocked and perfect for cooking in house. Wonderful bath. Great location.

Location was perfect - walking distance to grocery stores, shops, restaurants. Great neighborhood. The lodging was fantastic! Full kitchen setup and really lovely facilities. Even our 16 year old son loved it!

I wouldn't change a thing.
