Salt Ayres

We absolutely loved our stay at Salt Ayres. The house was beautifully styled, spotlessly clean, and had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing getaway. The little details really stood out, from the quality furnishings to the thoughtful touches that made it feel like a home away from home. Highlight was the pool & outdoor area. Communication was easy and welcoming, and the whole stay felt effortless from start to finish. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again and would highly recommend Salt at Ayres to anyone looking for a stylish, relaxed Magnetic Island escape.

Highly recommend a car as it’s far from town, perfect peaceful location though.

Maintenance required on door latches, etc. Lawn area and play equipment not maintained Cleanliness could be better. Bedside lamps would be nice

The villa is beautiful and a great house to relax in. It was fresh and welcoming with lovely touches to give it a holiday vibe. The outdoor area is fantastic including a wonderful magnesium pool. We loved the outdoor bathroom, we thought it was very clever and fun.

The property was a little bit further from the beach than we realised. I would definitely hire a car next time for quick access to beach etc and Horseshoe Bay. We were disappointed there wasn't a starter pack for us when we arrived. We had travelled a long way to no coffee or milk on arrival. There is no antenna at the house so there were not any digital TV channels available. I did receive mostly prompt replies to my queries from the owner about this and a couple of other issues. The TV is streaming services only. The front door handle is tricky and not as user friendly as it could be. There is a video available to watch how to do it so once we viewed this we were ok. I think a more user friendly lock would be good. The Q R code to access information wasn't working after a couple of days. I would suggest a print out of information in the event of this occurring.
