9 Riverside Walk

Perfect location, comfortable and clean, bottle of wine was a welcome extra!

The location was perfect. Lovely peaceful riverside walk nearby. So much space inside, gorgeous cosy decor and loved the door from the bedroom into the garden.

Shower wasn't very powerful and water took a while to warm up. Bring your own pillow!

This cottage has the makings of the most dreamy place to stay in the Dales. The location by the river was gorgeous. The facilities upstairs were so comfortable and had everything that we needed. Having the option of heating was a plus, especially in this property with the serious damp problem.

So you will read about the damp in this property, DO NOT ignore (we did thinking people were being overly critical). We have stayed in so many places but the damp in this property must be a health hazard. I have asthma and was wheezing with allergies and not well at all in the morning. That is with the windows open, dehumidifiers on and heating on. The carpets are wet downstairs with damp. There is black mould in the bathroom and the shower was not clean. We couldn’t wait to leave and felt shocking for most of the day after an awful nights sleep…don’t get me started on the pillows, bedding and towels. Of all the places we have stayed, this was by far the worst and I am furious that it cost £150/night, had we been staying longer I would have just said let’s book in at the Lister Arms and cut our losses. Avoid if you value your health and I am a doctor. Really sorry because it has the makings of a gorgeous place
