A very good location for Malham walks.& very accessible to explore the stunning Yorkshire Dales. The cottage is beautifully decorated & presented. Beds very comfortable & great information left with recommendations (We loved the food & atmosphere at The Nettle in Settle). We appreciated the goodies left for us & an early check in. Everything was spotless & kitchen equipment relatively new (nicely co-ordinated). Communication & check in was very smooth.
Nothing was a particular issue for a 2 night stay. However, the stairs are very steep (1 flight down to the kitchen/dining room) & 1 flight up to the 2 double rooms. My 86 year old mother used the stairs as practice for the Malham cove climb! The drive is also very steep. We used it on arrival but took to parking on the street thereafter. The kitchen is stunning & very well equipped but lacked a tea towel & washing up sponge (personal taste!).

This property with it’s excellent location, excellent facilities and highly thoughtful touches from the host make this a brilliant place to stay. The bathroom has been done to a very high standard and the amount of space is incredible.
The only points for improvement I could offer are: If possible a gate across the garden to prevent dogs/children from escaping would be good however it didn’t not affect me too much as my dog is very well behaved. The duvets were 13 Tog which are far too much for Summer, would suggest getting lighter duvets for Spring and Summer. Tiny point, I would swap the keys around and have the main key be the back door as it felt far easier to move through this area with wet and muddy clothing etc…
