Villa Coraly - piscine chauffée et jardin

Lovely spacious bright home. Plenty of bedrooms for two families. Great to have a pool. Well equipped kitchen. Secure parking was good.

No bed linen or towels for half of our stay. This was not made clear and the photos showed fully dressed bedrooms. I spent some time calling booking.com and managing agent on our arrival after a very long journey. Why would guests travelling from uk etc bring bed linen and towels. Found it very difficult communicating with 2/3 parties involved in hiring property. Most communication was in French by email, so needed translating each time. The garden needed maintenance and we were questioned about water usage in the pool?? The location was very quiet, so we had to travel to find restaurants to eat out in the evening.

The pool is great and we think is saltwater, much preferable to chlorine smell! Open plan front room and kitchen is really great which opens to the pool area. Lots of cooking utensils, oven, hob, large clean fridge, washing machine, nice big dining tables inside and outside. The parking area comfortably fits two cars and multiple bikes, which can then be then gated and securely locked

No air con or fans - just FYI. We arrived during freak hot weather so not really the properties fault but it was so hot and there was no way to cool down in the night No linen (beds, towels, bath mats or tea towels) from googling this seems to be a French thing so fair enough they were not provided but that was not 100% clear when booking and to rent them was too expensive Shower was blocked when we arrived and we were told to clear it ourselves. My husband pulled out the largest hair slug we have ever seen in our lives. Not really what he wanted to be doing after driving from the UK FYI no high chair for baby - we asked if we could rent one and I’m still waiting for a reply from the management company! We ended up buying one from the local Intermarche which helpfully has loads of baby items Considering there is a cleaning charge the property wasn’t that clean. Feet dirty from walking around so we kept shoes on. Beds needed sticky rolling as full of hair esp main bedroom. Kitchen was really clean. There are light switches but no lights, all the rooms are lit by lamps BBQ / plancha needs lighting with a match as the light button is broken - quite hard to do and takes a few attempts but we cooked some really tasty meals on this
