Spacious Andalusian villa with private pool REMS

The location (for both of the locations where we stayed) were very good, and the hosts helped us to move into a another property considering that the one booked initially (on which this review is based on) did not have enough rooms for all of us, had water pressure issues in bathrooms and one shower was missing hot water. So good things: - Location - The hosts readiness/ availability to help solve problems and for finding another place for us to stay considering the place did not have enough rooms for all of us. - The kitchens, pool, rooms...

Where to start, I will add bullet points because this whole vacation was not something I would like to remember: - As we started, opening the door of the place was terribly difficult - it took one hour to finally get in even with help from the host (it is a company managing many other properties in Malaga). I wont go into details of the issues we experienced. - As we arrived, the place had 2 rooms and one bathroom less than what was listed. So until we managed to get a new place (which we really appreciated thanks to the support of the hosting company) we had some problems in this place.... - one shower did not have hot water - the other shower did not have enough pressure and water was leaking from the shower - One (of 2 available) of the toilets did not have enough pressure as well, so once you flushed, it took ages to fill up again (thankfully this was fixed on the same day we detected the issue) - it was difficult to find extra sheets or towels, the house was very big and there is nobody welcoming you, so you have to rely on calling their helpdesk. - Although the hosting company is available to pick up a call and help us out, I cannot say that the help is very efficient since often enough you will be talking with different people and they do not know the previous conversations, so it takes a lot of effort to explain things and getting things done. We were lucky to get another rental place (facilitated by REMS) with enough rooms for all of us, otherwise we would have been stuck in here, some of us sleeping on the couch, others having to share rooms and with not so great bathrooms. Finally, I forgot my jacket inside this property (when moving to the new one), sadly I only realized this on the day of our flight back, and the company said there was nothing there - they clearly say that stuff we leave behind/ forget is not their responsibility. So be careful. Also, be sure to take pictures and report anything broken ASAP because you will be paying a deposit.

House was excellent - fabulous place with lots of space. Exactly as per the photos and description. Very well stocked with appliances, kitchen equipment, crockery etc. REMS were also excellent as hosts - they are super responsive to messages 24/7, both before our stay and during. Location is great, as long as you're aware the bigger villas/houses with pools are obviously away from the town centres, compared to apartments that might be closer. So it's a 50 minute ish walk back down to the beach/Marina area or to old town Benalmadena. We knew this in advance though as we had wanted the big spacious villa with own garden/pool. There's a supermarket 10 mins walk away and taxis very easy to get on Uber.

The only two minor issues were that the BBQ wasn't operational as there was no working gas canister, and also we had a little difficulty using the exterior door at first. The REMS team were very responsive on message and attended to give us access to the key box - I'm sure this will be fixed for future rentals.
