Amazing location with stunning views. Great for Addo National Park. The room was very comfortable and spacious with beautiful views out to the river.
Air conditioning would have been an added bonus although fans are available in the rooms.

Sehr nette Gastgeber, sehr individuelle Zimmer, schöner Garten und sehr liebevoll zubereitetes frisches leckeres Frühstück. Nur 5 min Fahrzeit zum Addo Elephant Park (South Gate).
Für einen frühen Start dort, wird das Frühstück auch gerne als Takeaway frisch zubereitet.
Zimmer 1 und 2 mit Balkon und toller Aussicht auf den Fluss und Garten, im Moment aber nur mit Ventilatoren ausgestattet (Wartezeit auf Aircondition ist lang in ZA, ist längst beantragt und sollte ca. Mitte 2026 installiert werden).
Kein Problem bei kühleren Nächten, bei Hitze und hoher Luftfeuchtigkeit schon eher.
Die Unterkunft liegt relativ dicht an der N2, d.h. man hört den Verkehr als Hintergrundrauschen.

Perfekter Unterkunft für einen Besuch im Addo Elephant National Park. 4 km vom südlichen Eingang Matyholweni Gate entfernt. Die Unterkunft liegt am Sundays River mit direktem Zugang zum Fluss. Von unserem Zimmer hatten wir Aussicht auf Fluss und Sonnenuntergang. Restaurants befinden sich im kleinen Ort Colchester.
Da wir kein bacon and eggs zum Frühstück wünschten, hatten sich die Gastgeber sehr bemüht, uns ein alternatives Frühstück zuzubereiten. Von hier aus nochmal vielen Dank. Außerdem hat man uns wirklich gute Tipps gegeben, wie wir durch den Nationalpark fahren sollten.

It's a beautiful stay, comfy beds, great breakfast and the hosts were nice during our stay, also the map they gave us to Addo were very good.
There were some things that made our stay and overall experience not good:
- It was very difficult to climb to the top bunk. There is nothing to hold onto, and only one person in my group managed to climb up, with great difficulty. You need to install some kind of handle or strap to help people get up.
- It took us a while to be able to take a bath, it seems like when someone in another room opens their shower our shower would get very hot, then very cold.
- The bathroom was outside the room, which was ok but annoying.
- I had a very hard time talking to Helena regarding my first reservation that I had to cancel, they charged me for half of the stay in advance, then I canceled the reservation and never got the refund for it even though I was eligible for refund. I messaged her several times in a month and she would say she was going to check or not even say anything, there's no reason to act like that to a client, I finally got my money back talking to my card holder but it would be much easier if she were willing to do her part on the reservation.
