It's a wonderful old house, stuffed to the brim with art and knick-knacks. It also has the most amazing tea collection which was appreciated. The full kitchen is always appreciated when we travel. Easy walking distance to all the shops and restaurants. A tremendous value compared to area hotels without much charm.
But, it is a wonderful old house with all that implies. Some of the doors don't like to close. And the heat is inconsistent. The stairs to the second floor are steep and narrow. But, it is nothing more than I would expect in an historic house. None of this would stop us from staying here again. Lean into the charm and location, go slow on the stairs, and enjoy the tea.
