Logies Reederij de IJsel

A very nice room by the canal. Some distance from the railway station, but quite manageable to walk with luggage through the centre of town. A good location to get around from, near the central Markt but still quiet - I could have the window slightly open during the night. It was nice to sit outside on the bench when taking a break from going around town. Also a comfortable bed and a fine, spacious shower.

It would be good to have the opportunity to store luggage a little while after checkout. But I can understand that this may not be easy to arrange given the circumstances of the lodging. I wanted to visit the very fine church (which was closed on the day I arrived), and found a convenient solution - I could store my luggage in the reception area of the church during my visit.

We were very pleased with our stay here. The owners live next door and were very nice and helpful. The location is fantastic, right across from a canal and a quick walk to the central square. The owners seemed to think of everything to make this a cozy, welcoming space: Lots of different teas to choose from, some candy left for us, a comfortable, adjustable bed, high quality window blinds, etc. Wish we could have stayed longer! We arrived by bicycle, so we parked our bikes at the bike park nearby.

It was all good.
