To the north of Svaneke is a lookout tower from which you can see as far as the island of Christiansø in favourable weather conditions. Close by is the Brændegårdshaven amusement park and zoo, which is a guaranteed hit with the kids. If you drive or cycle along the coast to the west, you will come to Gudhjem, which, like Svaneke, is one of the cosiest towns on the island. The largest round church on the island, Østerlars round church, is also relatively close by.
