The cottage was bigger than expected and well equipped. We appreciated being able to do laundry. The rental agency was very helpful as our phones data didn't work in Namibia so we hadn't received the Whats App messages with info to get into the room. The staff took us to the room and got us on the internet to get all the info.

Perfectly located right on the beach and within easy reach of the city centre. The property itself has a lot of character and a great atmosphere. We also appreciated the flexibility to change our dates, which was very helpful.

The service throughout our stay was exceptionally poor. I asked in advance whether an earlier check-in than 15:00 was possible, or, if not, whether there was a safe place where we could leave our luggage. We were advised to arrive after 15:00. When we arrived at 15:30, however, the property was still not ready. There was an issue with the electricity. Staff rushed out and assured us that it had been fixed, but it hadn't: around half of the sockets were still not working, and we had to work around the problem throughout our stay. The following day, the Wi-Fi stopped working. I contacted Perfect Stay but received no response. After sending a reminder, they simply told me that they had informed the owner. We never heard anything further. On our final day, there was a scheduled power outage. We had not been informed about it, so we unknowingly set the alarm and dishwasher to operate that morning. This was not a major issue, but when I asked how we could prevent the alarm from going off when the power was restored, I again received no response. Overall, the lack of communication and follow-up was extremely disappointing. Problems can happen, but what matters is how they are handled. In this case, the service and communication were simply not up to an acceptable standard.
