Elegant 2 Bed Flat in East London

The location is quite close to Limehouse and a walk and a bus ride to Wapping which is why I chose it. The apartment itself is nice; clean, quite spacious and comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped though could do with some wine glasses!

The apartment is on a noisy street above a busy shop and I didn’t feel that ‘comfortable’ getting the key to open the smashed glass door into the apartment block. I was told I would receive an automated email at 2pm with the code to the key safe. I had to chase for it on the approach to the location (around 4pm). I was sent an apology email with the code but the code wasn’t in the email. I replied saying so and was then sent an email with the wrong code. Another email got the correct code but it made the arrival quite stressful. 6 days after leaving asked to get my £200 security deposit returned. I was told it would be paid that day but had to chase again 2 days later. They were keen to get it with the threat of no access if it wasn’t paid. but weren’t so prompt in paying it back. I feel that these ‘security’ deposits should be paid after the apartment is inspected on the day of departure, keeping the money for a full week (and more) is unnecessary and it definitely shouldn’t require me to have to ask for the money to be returned (twice!).
