Pet Policy: Well-behaved dogs under 50lb allowed. Dogs may not be left alone at any time and must be under its handler's care at all times. Dogs are not allowed on beds/couches. (Pet fee extra - let us know you are bringing your dog!)

Home was well furnished, clean & spacious. It’s located on a dead end road in a neighborhood, on top of a hill, feels secluded w/partial view of mountains. There is minimal road noise from highway down below. We enjoyed relaxing on the deck in the early mornings and late evenings. The rental has info about area attractions, shopping & restaurants. The VRBO pics of the rental are accurate w/exception of cushioned porch chairs which are 2 plastic Adirondack chairs. There are 2retro video games on 2nd floor.When we arrived, ants were on the kitchen floors & counters. We notified the owner. He responded quickly, stating this had been an issue in the past & to keep our food off the counters & in the refrigerator. He would fix the issue after our stay. We had to clean up the ants our entire stay. He has since then notified us it was fixed. Wish we knew before booking:1. No whole home air conditioning. A window air conditioner is in the 2 bedrooms on the 1st level. There are fans provided for the other rooms. The 2nd level is one large room as in the pics. The owner gave instruction on how to keep the home cool at check in. This included closing shades & windows then leaving the house during the day. Using fans provided in the home & an attic fan on the 2nd floor.We stayed in the 2nd week of June, it was hot during the day and the house did not cool down enough to sleep well upstairs.2. There is a note on washer/dryer, you have to stay 4nights to use it.

We had a great week. Utilized the lake and ventured to Murthy’s and Colombia. Nice short drives. The cabin was comfortable and spacious.
