Grey Stones Villa with Heated Pool, by Estia

Grey Stones Villa exceeded all our expectations. The villa was spotless, beautifully designed, and equipped with everything needed for a perfect stay. The private pool and jacuzzi were amazing and made our holiday truly special. The location is peaceful and relaxing, yet close to the beach, restaurants, and Heraklion. The host was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always available to help. Every detail was carefully thought out, making us feel comfortable and at home from the very first moment.

Nothing at all. Everything was perfect and exceeded our expectations. The only downside was having to leave at the end of our vacation! 😊

Onze gastvrouw was geweldig. Alles waar we mogelijk behoefte aan hadden was in het huis. Het huis was brandschoon, modern maar comfortabel ingericht en heel compleet. Goede bedden, super stille slaapkamers, fijne keuken. Ook de balkons waren fijn. De locatie was <1km van het strand, dat was te lopen, en een kwartiertje rijden van het centrum van Heraklion. Weet dat het huis naast een actief gebruikte kerk staat, wij vonden dat passen bij onze ervaring op Kreta.

Er waren geen minpunten. Zo’n perfecte accomodatie en verblijf maak je zelden mee.

The villa was amazing, very well decorated, we loved it from the min we walked in. The owners were lovely and very generous, we were very surprised at the very generous welcome pack with snacks and drinks to keep us going until we got to the shop the next day. Its location was in a lovely wee local street but within a very short walking distance to the beach and little town area where there were shops, lovely coffee shops and traditional restaurants. There is also a tiny little shop about 10 steps away from the villa selling everything you can imagine, as well as this there is a fruit and vegetable van that comes around most days where you can buy fresh fruit and vegetables. The kitchen was very well equipped with everything you need to cook, we used the outdoor BBQ for most of our meals. I came here myself with my 3 children and it felt very very safe walking around. The bigger town was only 10 min away in a taxi if you prefer bigger shops like Zara and bershka. The owners family made us a delicious authentic Greek meal on our last night, they dropped it off to us to have when it suited. I did read a review before we came about a dog kennel being noisy but although I could hear dogs from time to time I wouldn’t say it disturbed me, it definitely didn’t sound like kennels it just sounded like pet dogs bearing in mind it’s set within local houses.

Honestly there was nothing not to like, the only thing I’d say was the pool was a little too cold for my children but that’s more to do with the time of the year we came.

It is impossible to rate this villa just with a 10 - all in all it is a 12! The villa is brand new. The way the villa was constructed and planned - just excellent. The furniture is very comfortable, modern very beautiful. The location is great: Neighborhood is quiet, beach 10 minutes away to walk, by car one minute, surrounded by small shops and restaurants are close. But most of all: The landlords are just beautiful, friendly and nice people. We had a very nice welcome, got a lot of food for free, the landlords couple, the mother were just making us feel at home!
