LUXURY VILLA ANA, Mijas

Excellent 2 weeks in luxury villa Ana in gorgeous Mijas. Great location not far too walk into town centre. Villa has everything you need. Outside dining area lovely had a barbeque 1 night. Our weather was a bit mixed so some evenings sat in and coukd get our Netflix on tv. It is a stunning tradional spanish lyxury villa ! Hopefully will be back.

The villa is situated on a steep hill with lots of steps up so not suitable for anyone with mobility issues.

Location , space, outdoor spaces and shaded eating area. Great to have spacious rooms and bathrooms. Great sized fridge / freezer. Having the sun bed and pool was a great added feature.

It noted on the specifications that it had ‘toiletries’ we were expecting shampoo and shower gel as it would be typically described as that in a hotel . Another hair dryer would have been ideal too. We had to ask for a parasol as there wasn’t one on arrival . Tho was dealt with by Maria who kindly sorted it.

Potential to be a lovely villa. In a great location and had everything we needed.

We arranged time of arrival and nobody arrived until 1.5hrs after this. We were locked outside in 32 degree heat with 4 children, it was awful. They claimed the number provided on booking.com was the incorrect one, however they still have not changed the number. Had numerous issues with the hot water which we didn’t get for two nights of the stay. These things happen and it was eventually fixed, however communication was poor. The pool was green. It also has extremely sharp edges that two of the children cut their feet on. When I asked for the pool to be cleaned I was told someone would be on their way at 8.30am however they did not show up until lunchtime. When I asked where they were I was told ‘sorry it’s not to your liking because of a little dirt’. Extremely patronising and unprofessional. Again, wouldn’t have been a problem if I was just told the correct time in the first place I wouldn’t have spent my morning in waiting for them, yet I was made to feel it was my fault. I also think cleanliness should be a basic standard when renting out a property and not something you should have to ask for. The villa also states it has aircon, which it does, however only in the bedrooms upstairs, nowhere else in the house. The downstairs bedroom was so warm we were unable to use it and had to move beds upstairs. Also one of the toilets had a broken flush and the downstairs shower room had a broken screen so unusable. All in all not somewhere I would recommended. Have stayed in some lovely places in Mijas but this is unfortunately not one of them. I have added some pictures of before and after it was cleaned to show the difference.
