The Lovely Home Stay

Great experience at Lovely Homestay! The owners are incredibly kind and helpful, and the home-cooked food is amazing—tastes just like home. Very budget-friendly and a beautiful place to stay. Definitely worth it, will visit again!

I’m a solo traveller from Trichy, Tamilnadu who arrived here on a bike ride to Munnar, and this stay became one of the most memorable parts of my trip. The homestay is lovingly managed by a warm and kind couple who made me feel genuinely welcome from the moment I arrived. Even though we didn’t share a common language — I don’t know Malayalam and they didn’t speak much English or Tamil — we still managed to have long, meaningful conversations over dinner. We spoke about local places, farming life, and even their experiences with elephants around the area, which made the stay feel authentic and personal. With no crowds and a peaceful atmosphere, it felt less like a hotel and more like visiting someone’s home. Their hospitality, simplicity, and genuine care made my solo journey truly special. Highly recommended for travellers looking for a calm, heartfelt Munnar experience.

Bel accueil, chambre confortable et très propre, nous avons dîner tous les soirs de notre séjour sur place et la maison de maison est une excellente cuisinière, copieux et très très bon.

Location

The food and breakfast were way too expensive. The rooms were not cleaned. The dustbins were not cleared. Same towels and bedsheets for all 4 nights. The dinner was limited quantity and not upto the mark for two nights
