5 minute walk from Bury City Centre - 2 Bed Flat

Cheap for a busy weekend

Where we stayed didn’t match the pictures. The room wasn’t ready until half 4 after a lot of negotiating, supposed to check in 2-3. Room was still being cleaned at half 4 so had to dump luggage for cleaners to finish.

There was nothing to like about the property tried to contact property on arrival to discuss same. Due to 3 1/2 hr delay on M6 arrived approx 21:00 made them aware that the property was dirty unkempt and damp at the rear advised due to timeframe we would like to discuss same in the morning where we received no response from them only an automated response message reminding us about check out times for the sunday

The property was damp dirty unkempt: Bathroom damp, flooring wet with obvious surface water, shower tray dirty with mould and bathroom sealant stuck to it and a surplus of small flies on floor of same and around walls n window, toilet rolls damp to touch toilet seat movable and ill-fitting. Ceiling fan dirty as was shower head Kitchen area cold and damp with dirty hob small radiator there insufficient Living area had no window and was visible from outside as front door had clear glass and could be viewed by people travelling on local bus. Carpet frayed and lifting settee stained as was pillow and other pillows smelled of stale sweat. Flat freezing in arrival bedrooms cold but did heat up with electric radiators had to move beds to use these as beds pushed up against same. Bedding clean though no fitted bed sheets and mattresscover could do with being replaced, mattresses poor no support and springs felt small shelve/table coming off wall in front bedroom and dirty. No response from property when looking to discuss conditions stated above. We left early Saturday morning, so what was supposed to be a 2 day break was just overnight Friday again no response from property to discuss same. We are looking to further discuss and seek compensation for what was a disappointing trip and a shock that this accommodation would be suitable for an airbnb.
