KUKI BEACH - Luxury Beachfront Villa in Ahangama

The team at Kuki beach were very special and looked after us so well. The rooms were spacious and as advertised

The beach is inaccessible, which is a bit deceiving g when a (beach front) is mentioned in the facilities Privacy is so limited as the windows are completely transparent with no reflection at the passage of other guests. Curtains are only blackout, no sheer curtains which means that you either close completely with no view or completely exposed. Cleanness could be improved Breakfast is very limited

What we liked: The only real highlight is the ocean view. Being right in front of the sea looks stunning, especially at sunset. The wooden loungers themselves are solid and of good quality. If you focus purely on the scenery and ignore everything else, you might still enjoy your stay.

“Luxury” in the name is misleading. The hotel is located directly next to a busy coastal road, and the constant noise from buses and trucks makes it feel like traffic is passing through your room. There is no sense of privacy — guests from neighboring hotels regularly cross the property to access the beach, especially at sunset, turning the area into a crowded photo spot. The property itself feels worn and poorly maintained: dirty and torn sunbed cushions, cracked tiles, broken window handles, insects in the bathroom, and visible signs of heavy use throughout. The pool has loose tiles and broken water jets. Service is disappointing and very focused on charging extra. Even a second coffee at breakfast costs extra. When asking for help organizing a simple cinnamon farm visit, only overpriced tour options were offered, with no real effort to meet our request. Beach access is difficult and not suitable for everyone, as you have to climb over large rocks. Even at the water, more rocks make swimming unpleasant. The beach is more for photos than for relaxing. Considering we paid nearly $1000 for two nights for five people — the most expensive stay of our trip — the value for money is simply not there.

Nous avons beaucoup aima la situation géorgraphique de l'hotel. Il se situe a quelques minutes de scooter de Ahangama et de Midigama, donc parfait pour se déplacer. L'hotel se trouve en bord de mer donc nous avons beaucoup aimé de profiter de la piscine, face à la mer. La vue est les coucher de soleil était super. La chambre était très spacieuse, propre et confortable.

Nous avons très mal dormi dans l'hotel à cause des problèmes de bruit. L'hotel est situé juste à côte d'un autre hotel qui possède un bar/rooftop au dernier étage et donc il y avait beaucoup de bruit le soir à cause de la musique. L'hotel organisent également des mariages et donc nous n'avons pas réussi a nous endormir avant 2h du matin. Le staff n'est pas très friendly non plus malheureusement (comparé tous les autres hotels déjà fait dans le pays). Nous avons été déçus.
