Wonderful staff who learn and remember your name! Centrally located hostel with affiliated hotel down the street. BEST breakfast with many fresh fruits and omelets made to order. Staff assisted with booking all our activities, ordering us tuk-tuks, and handling our laundry. The room smelled amazing and was clean. Great value. Good wifi, comfortable beds, hot showers.
The private rooms are right next to the dining area/kitchen, so it's good to have earplugs so the noise isn't a concern. It was no problem for us.

The bathrooms and floors were cleaned regularly - there were few people staying in the hostel (raining/low season), so I guess that helps. The breakfast was tasty and plentiful (for SE Asia standards). It's possible to chill and socialize with others around the pool table or the common room on the ground floor. There's a water tank from where one can refill their own water bottle.
I stayed for one night in the female dorm room (8 beds) and was fortunate that I was alone in the room. The room does not have access to a proper window; it's only "window" opens to a corridor inside the building that leads to other rooms. So, I can't imagine what it would be like to be in a room with other people without natural light and natural ventilation. The bottom bed sheet did not seem clean - I slept in my own sleeping bag liner.
