The location of the property is superb! It’s quite magical to be by the water’s edge and to sit on the private jetty, when it’s dark, listening to the frogs and star gazing, is fabulous. The Refugio is beautifully and thoughtfully decorated and Marcia is a delight and serves a great breakfast…
It was a surprise to find that there wasn’t electricity all day, it was off from midnight until 8am and also from 1pm to 7pm. Quite difficult when you also find you have no phone signal and are trying to pay on arrival! As it happens cash is really the only option. There are no fans or air con and whilst the design of the property is great, those huge glass windows are a problem when it’s 34 degrees!
