Club at Cape San Blas 2B by Pristine Properties

Cape San Blas continues to be one of my absolute favorite vacation spots! The property manager was amazing with communication, and any little 'in-unit' issue (like a running toilet) was fixed almost immediately. The hot tub was such a bonus, and the pool was perfect for the kids to enjoy while the adults got dinner ready. (Friendly reminder to everyone: please don’t leave children unattended at the pool.) The area is perfect for families, married couples, retirees, and groups traveling together. It’s quiet, beautiful, and such a great place to spend quality time. The ramped boardwalk to the beach made getting to the water easy and enjoyable. Highly recommend this location if you’re looking for a peaceful, family‑friendly getaway.

A list of things to be advised of: 1. The elevator was out of service during our stay, which was a significant issue since we booked this unit specifically for accessibility needs. 2. Several stairwell lights were out, leaving the stairs very dim and difficult to navigate. 3. The common bathroom areas near the beach and pool were locked. A keypad entry system shared with owners and property managers would be a more guest‑friendly solution. 4. A group used the pool deck for a cookout and did not clean up spilled food, which attracted ants, biting flies, and other small pests. 5. Exterior areas of the property would benefit from a thorough pressure washing. 6. The unit itself needs some attention to detail, including small wall repairs, loose bathroom tiles, and carpet cleaning. 7. Adding anti‑slip or friction strips to the stairs and boardwalk would improve safety for all guests.

Very scenic location. Great view of the Gulf of America and just a few minutes walk down the boardwalk to the beach. The unit was very spacious and amply equipped and furnished. Overall the unit is very comfortable. While the pool is not heated, it was still nice. The co-located spa was very much heated and very comfortable. This is a very quiet area, and not one the bustling beach and tourist areas found in many parts of Fl. The nearest town is Port St Joe, about 10 miles of pleasant driving from this location. There is a nice food store there, and many restaurants.

The unit could use some TLC in several areas. I sent Pristine Properties the areas that probably should be addressed. Just thinking in terms of being a property owner who would want to keep the unit in good/operational condition. The last three days of our stay the elevator did not work. Carrying bags up and down two flights of stairs got to be a pain. Oh well. When the property management company says they only give you starting amenities like toilet paper, garbage bags and etc, believe them! For 6 people for 13 nights, we got 2 rolls of TP, one garbage bag, and one pod each for the dishwasher and washer. For what we paid for the stay, it just seemed to cheapen the stay. If renting here, just be prepared.
