Lombok Souls

Very beautiful place, a garden in a traditional village. At first it seemed unbelieveable to find such a nice resort in a village with chicken on the road, palm groves and bikes and kids strolling around, but Lombok Souls was a pleasant surprise. The bungalows were very spacious, and we had a deep, cool private pool infront of our bungalow. There was a larger main pool as well, very comfortable.

I understand that the perception of Europeans is that we are all vegetarians avoiding any hot food and spices, but the breakfast was mostly tofu and tasteless nasi goreng.But as you can always find nice places to eat in an Indonesian village, then no harm :) In the evenings there is live music, I vould have skipped that as wsell, but wasn't too loud or long.

The staff are really lovely and the communal pool and bar is beautiful and set in a really great location. The place is incredible clean, and the rooms are beautiful.

The buffet breakfast was not great, it was difficult to find a free table and the food had always run out and staff weren’t replenishing it. It took a very long time for eggs to be prepared, one morning I waited 20 minutes and even then it wasn’t what I ordered. It’s also important to note that the rooms are not very soundproof and you can hear a lot of outside noise especially the prayer chanting that comes over the speaker at 4am and all the roosters that crow early in the morning, so not ideal if a light sleeper. The pool tables were worn and all the cues broken so you couldn’t use them. They also didn’t mention that the gym is still under construction.

Helpful Staff: The team went out of their way to assist, including removing spiders and helping with other requests. Warm Service: The lady at the reception area was very kind, understanding and great customer service. Peaceful Vibe: The beautiful, calm setting offered a true sense of serenity, enhanced by the gentle sound of the call to prayer from nearby mosques.

Nothing. I would suggest having more Gluten-free options on your menu and breakfast. I got tired of eating eggs and rice every day.
