other than these 4 things that didn’t go well, staying was good

house interior setup was verybeautiful and clean, bedding was tops, bathrooms were all 100% clean.

only lounge aircon was working, main bedroom air conditioning was not working, the other 2 bedrooms stand alone fans which are not so cool, we stayed for the good 4 days in a dirty house no house keepers attend for cleaning the house. they sent a watsup message to say they will come and clean and requested access to the house for cleaning which i granted, they never came. swimming pool was dirty, on our arrival , they promised to come clean it up on the following day , but they never pitched. the house is safe from inside, but the street outside is not safe. we wanted to take a walk down to the beach , as we came out from the entrance we noticed a group of street boys some were sitting , some were sleeping on the road smoking, they started shouting greeting us as we were approaching them, waving , we had to quickly go back and closed our door entrance

The hosts made everything worst for us. It’s our worst experience in Capr Toen ever.

The property is beautiful but it’s oversold on the site. The pool was covered in leaves and we could use it even after we have communicated with the maintenance team.

The host is the worst communicator, they take long to reply and receive you to check in. They require a deposit after you have fully paid for the booking (even in full) and they only inform you about the deposit when you have reached Cape Town, before you check in. They are not ethical and they do not care about you and your complaints or requests at all.

The house is beautiful and spacious on the inside. The location is perfect. close to the beach and most attractions of Capetown. close to shops and restaurants. Close to the DHL stadium as we were here for the Sanlam race as well.

The yard was dirty and not cleaned. The pool was dirty and was not working, they only tried fixing the pool pump the morning we checked out. They only have 2 pots in the house. And only put 3 tissues for the 3 bathrooms for a 5 night stay, very disappointing. They did not even offer cleaning during our 5 night Stay, the cleaning cost we paid is for cleaning on the day you check out, if you want cleaning done during the stay it is an extra fee.

The location was decent and the space in the living area and bedrooms plus storage was good

The property was dirty and felt unkept despite modern refurbishment and amenities. There was a huge lack of attention to details like providing more than basics for a self-service apartment, like toilet cleaner or laundry detergent. Having to buy instead of enjoying our vacation was an inconvenience and unplanned expense. We had to contact the property management group several times to request hand towels that were not present on check-in, plus address the broken hot water isolator after getting cold water for a full 12-hours! We received pillow cases instead of towels when we requested them, and only 1 towel when one finally arrived though there were 3 bathrooms in the property! We also never had a functioning alarm system during our stay leading to levels of insecurity. The air filters on the fan were severely dusty and unusable due to their filthiness. And the utensils were worn out like the knives which broken before use, and the kitchen scissors which couldn’t cut anything! There were issues with the shower doors needing to be fixed and very dirty around the edging. Everything seemed second hand and used, despite photos of new and upgraded facilities. Overall just a lack of care for the way guests would and could enjoy the stay, and all the time it took to wait for issues to be resolved or attended made for a wasted stay.
