Location is perfect for exploring Notting Hill.

Access - To enter the flat you first go through the front main door of the building - the flat is at the rear. That’s about 6 steps up with luggage which was manageable. Then you have to walk down a short hallway to find the front door of the flat, manoeuvre down some very steep, narrow steps with large luggage (no light working in these steps) to open the front door. These entrance stairs were carpeted, filthy and dark. I vacuumed them myself they were so bad - needs steam cleaning or replacing. There are 2 bedrooms - one upstairs (wooden creaky stairs up two flights) and one downstairs. Although clean and tidy both are VERY tired looking. Old furniture, carpet is dirty and stained, lumpy mattresses. The cleaners can only do so much. The apartment bathroom and kitchen were very clean and semi new. No issues there. Couldn’t use the iron whilst there - dirty and what looked like melted plastic on the iron plate. The whole apartment smells of pot/weed - someone in the building is a constant smoker. Really off putting. Couldn’t stop the smell coming in, even with the windows closed. To get/return the keys you need to go around the corner to a nearby shop and provide a code. Pretty inconvenient when there is a code box at the front door of the building.
